Company Polskie LNG S.A. will manage projects regarding constructing and operating the Liquefied Natural Gas terminal in Świnoujście with Oracle Primavera. DAT Computer Concepts was proud to deliver services of installation, configuration and training for supporting such a important project.
The objective of the Polskie LNG Company is to construct and operate the Liquefied Natural Gas terminal in Świnoujście. Construction of the LNG terminal will enable to off-take natural gas in order to increase the energy security of Poland.
The duties and responsibilities of the Company involve:
- performance of the technical and economic documentation and obtaining the necessary administrative permits and licences
- selection of the general contractor for the project
- monitoring and coordination of actions connected with the construction of the terminal.
Polskie LNG was established in 2007 by Polish Gas and Oil Company PGNiG (PGNiG SA). By virtue of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of 19 August 2008, Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. (GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.) became the owner of Polskie LNG sp. z o.o., a company owned by the State Treasury responsible for the security of natural gas supplies via transmission networks. On 8 December 2008, 100% of the shares of Polskie LNG were acquired by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.
GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. supervises the construction of the LNG terminal, whereas the Polish Oil and Gas Company PGNiG is responsible for the supply and transport of the liquefied natural gas to the terminal in Świnoujście.
