CRIST Shipyard S.A. in the near future will lead construction projects and repairs of vessels, hydro-technical units and offshore projects using Oracle Primavera. DAT Computer Concepts is pleased and honored to assist in the process of implementation the Oracle Primavera in CRIST Company.
The implementation process began in May, with an analysis of current practices in project management. At that time, our consultants met with the implementation team from CRIST S.A. and thoroughly analyzed the current method of project management, customer needs and requirements. Together we were able to develop the concept of implementation and to recommend effective solutions. Parallel with the analysis took place the installation process of Oracle Primavera in the CRIST shipyard.
The next implementation step was the system configuration for the pre-determined during the analysis. The challenge with which we were measured in the CRIST S.A. was preparation the system was flexible, so that worked well during a few large, coming from different areas projects. Moreover, due to the nature of the shipbuilding industry, the Oracle Primavera tool must be working in many separate planes simultaneously, for example at the level of production, planning, financial, warehouse and finally as a tool for controlling workflow.
Before starting the next stage, which is the project pilot, training was provided to operate the system for the implementation team (including the main planner and managers responsible for the pilot projects). Thus they could successfully start their own projects, including the pilot ones.
Currently the pilot phase draws to a close. Our consultants assist the users of the system when conducting pilot projects. A properly configured system allows project managers to create information-rich reports on current status of projects.
Together we started realizing assumption: the use of Oracle Primavera have to ensure accurate and efficient control of projects in the shipyard.
